There's this old woman who lives on the street. All she does is sit out front of her house and spy on everyone...and then bitch about them to her friends when they come see her.
Lucky me, I've become her new target. A couple of days ago there was a hand delivered letter in the post box saying that the bin I put out for collection is 'too smelly' and it's creating a health hazard to her. She then proceeded to list the contents of the bin (half of which she made up) and say that she'd TAKEN PHOTOGRAPHS of the contents.
I'll just jump in here and say there wasn't anything ridiculous in there. The usual non-recyclable stuff. Yes...it stunk. If you kept the lid open, but no more than any other full bin.
But I digress. She closed her letter by saying, or rather threatening, that if the bin was not cleaned and disinfected every week she would be making a formal complaint to the Board of Health which would include the photographs.
So now a choice. Do I start to leave various animal parts laying around outside to piss the bitter old bitch off, and then get some health inspectors knocking on the door. Or do I just give in to the demands?
She doesn't have a case and probably has some questions to answer about going through people's bins...but being hauled off as a filth monster is preferable to putting up with this shit in a regular basis.
Rant over. I'm out.
