Actually...it's not really a tutorial per se...more an insight. ;)

That was actually enjoyable to read. Yaayy.

Now I want to make up a fantasy character instead of drawing late Christmas presents, though. Hrm. That's probably not such a great thing.

I've read many tutorials...but when you actually try to write one yourself it seems so hard.

For me it was anyway. ^^;

Perhaps you could draw fantasy characters AS your late Christmas presents. ;)

You could've told me you would do that earlier! :shakefist: I could've just written "blahblahblahblah" for text and finished the whole thing SIX FRIGGIN' HOURS EARLIER!!!! :angered:

I think it would suck to scan a picture seven or eight times to make one of these things. :nod: That's why I didn't do it. 8-) I just drew it again. ;)

True...I did have to scan it just as many times but at least I didn't have to draw, stop, go scan, draw, stop, go scan...;)

duded. holy shit. quite frankly, when it comes to drawing tutorials (as opposed to colouring) this has been on of the most useful ones i've ever encountered :faint: probably because it panders to the one thing all aspiring artists have but don't want to admit to: laziness. it has tips and tricks and cheats and breakdowns that make even the most complex decorations (relatively) quick and easy :faint: i... may have to go draw some fantasy characters now. just to try this all out :ohnoes:

also, i find it fascinating to finally get to see your style being broken down and constructed, especially the basic human figure :D
